Ninety residents attended the final “Meet the Candidate” event on 17 September for our local Ward candidates.

We were fortunate to have all seven candidates attending for a very interesting and informative meeting – including a bit of drama at times. Great to see everyone so engaged in the democratic process, especially given the challenges facing Wellington.

After initial statements by candidates there were numerous questions from the audience – so much so that the meeting was extended and finally finished at 9:35pm with people continuing to engage with candidates as JCA members packed up the hall.
