| Dangerous and Insanitary Buildings Policy Review 2026 | The Dangerous and Insanitary Buildings Policy is a mandatory policy adopted by local councils under the Building Act 2004 to manage buildings that pose safety or health risks. Wellington City Council (the Council) proposes to review and update the policy in accordance with the Building Act 2004. The review will also aim to align the policy with best practice as provided for in the guidance by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) as the central regulator of the building system. | Engagement closes Midnight, 1 May 2026 |
